Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the Portfolio module from the main navigation.
  2. Click on "Create New Portfolio" in the top right corner.
  3. Give your portfolio a descriptive name (e.g., "Retirement Fund" or "Tech Growth").
  4. Select your preferred currency and risk tolerance.
  5. Click "Create Portfolio" to finish.

Once created, you can start adding assets by clicking "Add Asset" and entering the ticker symbol.

The Navigator module is your personal investment assistant. It helps you in several ways:
  • Personalized Discovery: Recommends stocks based on your investment style and goals.
  • Smart Alerts: Sends notifications about relevant market events affecting your portfolio.
  • Learning Path: Guides you through educational content based on your knowledge level.
  • Portfolio Optimization: Suggests adjustments to align with your risk tolerance.

To get started with Navigator, go to /navigator and complete the initial setup questionnaire.

The Discovery Engine is designed to help you find investment opportunities based on specific criteria. Here's how to make the most of it:
  1. Start with one of our pre-built strategies (e.g., "Value Gems" or "Momentum Leaders").
  2. Adjust the filters to match your investment thesis.
  3. Review the results and click on any stock for detailed analysis.
  4. Use the "Save Strategy" feature to save your custom criteria for future use.

Tip: The Discovery Engine works best when you have a clear investment thesis in mind. If you're unsure, start with the Navigator module to define your preferences.

Understanding Our Modules

While both modules track institutional activity, they focus on different aspects:
  • Smart Money Module: Tracks large institutional trades, options activity, and sector rotation. It shows where "smart money" is flowing across the market.
  • Insider Module: Focuses specifically on trades made by company executives, directors, and major shareholders. It reveals what insiders are doing with their own company's stock.

The Smart Money module gives you a broader market view, while the Insider module provides company-specific insights. Both are valuable for different investment strategies.

The Flow Score is a proprietary metric that aggregates multiple indicators of institutional activity:
  • Institutional Buying/Selling: Volume-weighted analysis of large block trades.
  • Options Activity: Unusual options volume and open interest changes.
  • Sector Rotation: Movement of capital between different market sectors.
  • Analyst Upgrades/Downgrades: Changes in analyst recommendations with volume confirmation.

Each indicator is normalized and combined using a weighted algorithm that gives more importance to recent activity and higher-volume trades. The score ranges from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating stronger institutional conviction.

The Decisio module stands out because it:
  • Synthesizes All Data: It doesn't just show you information—it combines insights from all other modules into a single, actionable verdict.
  • Provides Context: Every recommendation comes with clear explanations of strengths, risks, and key factors.
  • Quantifies Confidence: Uses a confidence score (0-100%) to indicate how strongly the data supports the recommendation.
  • Shows Historical Accuracy: Tracks how often similar recommendations have been correct in the past.

Think of Decisio as your investment committee chair—it considers all available data and gives you a clear, evidence-based conclusion without the noise.

Billing & Subscription

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Here's how it works:
  • Upgrades take effect immediately, and you'll be charged the prorated difference for the current billing cycle.
  • Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
  • You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time.

If you have any questions about changing your plan, our support team is happy to help.

If you decide to cancel your subscription:
  • You'll continue to have access to all features until the end of your current billing period.
  • Your data is preserved and will be available if you decide to resubscribe later.
  • After cancellation, you'll be downgraded to the Free tier with limited features.
  • You can export your portfolio data at any time from the account settings.

There are no cancellation fees, and you can resubscribe at any time to pick up where you left off.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for annual subscriptions. If you're not satisfied within the first 30 days, we'll provide a full refund.

After the 30-day period, we don't offer refunds for annual plans since you've had access to all features during that time. However, you can still cancel at any point and continue using the service until the end of your billing period.

Data & Methodology

We integrate with multiple institutional-grade data providers to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness:
  • Market Data: Real-time and delayed prices from major exchanges.
  • Fundamental Data: Financial statements, earnings reports, and company metrics.
  • Alternative Data: Satellite imagery, credit card transactions, and web traffic.
  • Sentiment Data: News analysis, social media sentiment, and earnings call transcripts.
  • Insider Trading: SEC filings and insider transaction data.

All data is normalized and quality-checked before being used in our algorithms. We continuously evaluate and add new data sources to improve our analysis.

Data update frequency varies by type:
  • Market Prices: Real-time for Premium and Pro users, delayed for Free tier.
  • News & Social Media: Continuously monitored and updated throughout the day.
  • Insider Trading: Updated within minutes of SEC filings.
  • Fundamental Data: Updated quarterly with earnings reports.
  • AI Scores: Recalculated nightly based on the most recent data.

Our system is designed to provide the most timely and relevant information without overwhelming you with unnecessary noise.

API & Advanced Tools

API access is available to Premium Pro users. Here's how to get started:
  1. Navigate to your API settings in your profile.
  2. Generate your API key (you can create multiple keys for different applications).
  3. Review the API documentation available in the Backtest & Strategy Lab.
  4. Use your API key in the Authorization header of your requests.

The API provides access to all our analytical data, including historical prices, scores, and signals. You can use it to build custom dashboards, trading bots, or integrate with other tools.

The Backtest & Strategy Lab is a powerful tool for testing investment strategies without writing code:
  • Strategy Builder: Create rules using a visual interface (e.g., "Buy when RSI < 30 and MACD crosses above signal").
  • Historical Testing: Test your strategy on years of historical data to see how it would have performed.
  • Portfolio Simulation: Apply your strategy to a portfolio of assets and analyze results.
  • Risk Analysis: Evaluate metrics like Sharpe ratio, maximum drawdown, and win rate.

You can save your strategies, share them with other Pro users, and even deploy them as automated alerts. This is an essential tool for serious investors who want to validate their ideas before real-world implementation.

Troubleshooting

Delayed data is shown to Free tier users and is typically 15-20 minutes behind real-time prices. If you're a Premium or Pro user and still seeing delayed data:
  1. Check your subscription status in your profile to ensure you have the correct plan.
  2. Refresh your browser to clear any cached data.
  3. Try accessing the platform from an incognito/private browsing window.

If you continue to experience issues, please contact our support team with details about your browser, device, and the specific assets you're viewing.

If you're experiencing connection issues with our mobile app:
  1. Check your internet connection and try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data.
  2. Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed.
  3. Clear the app cache from your device settings.
  4. Try force-closing the app and reopening it.
  5. For iOS users: Check if you have enabled background app refresh for Signal Yield AI.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, please contact support with your device model, OS version, and the specific error messages you're seeing.
